The amendment to the European Accessibility Act, EAA (EU 2019/882) requires accessibility auditing from entities other than micro-enterprises (see definition »), when the following are involved:

digital services offered to consumers as part of passenger transport services.
provision of e-books to consumers.
e-commerce services.
consumer credit, investment, payment, and basic payment account services offered in digital form.
certain digital services related to water and energy supply, transportation, and postal services.
digital services aimed at the public provided by certain credit institutions, payment institutions, investment firms, insurance companies, and insurance associations.

The Web Accessibility Directive, WAD (2016/2102) requires accessibility auditing in the following cases:

digital services provided by public authorities.
digital services of public law institutions.
digital services of companies, foundations, associations, or other entities that receive funding from public authorities.
certain online payment authentication services and the components handling payment transactions.
certain digital services related to water and energy supply, transportation, and postal services.
digital services aimed at the public provided by certain credit institutions, payment institutions, investment firms, insurance companies, and insurance associations.
